keep in mind, their main purpose is to prevent reversion (compressor stall). the benefits are less turbo lag between shifts (performance driving). the other side effect is dramatically increased turbo life (in theory).in practice, I race my car on the road course often (or used to). I probably have close to 40 hours of ON track time. I am sitting at 330rwhp/360 at 11psi of boost, no smoking, and 168k miles. There is no sign of turbo damage of any kind... the car just keeps on pulling. For that reason alone, I highly recommend blow off valves. If you are buying them to get noticed and be a baller, then I'd recommend neon, some fancy shoes to match your bikini panties, and maybe a wing for your car.
